G N HEGDE TRUST (R)

G N Hegde Trust was set up by one of the famous doctor in Karwar district, Dr. G. G. Hegde, in the memory of his beloved father, late Shri Ganapathi Narayana Hegde, Retired Block Education officer, educationalist and philanthropist. 

Being born in a middle class family, he was a visionary and believed in bringing “Education for all”. He loved interacting with students, youth and always encouraged them to aim and achieve higher. After his demise, his son, Dr. G.G. Hegde started this charitable trust to take up various educational, social and medical activities and campaigns, in order to make his dream come true.

Motive behind this project

The “Gurukula” system of education which was practiced in India, had a lot of value and made better impact on individuals from a holistic perspective. 

The motive behind this project is reviving this system back in our education system with adequate modern touch. This institution gives emphasis on such holistic development of students. The ultimate goal of this project is to transform the society with intellectual minds with moral values, which will promote a total individual development.
